Shop Local Acadiana is a collaborative effort of dozens of local businesses to market, promote and grow in an economy that favors national or regional competitors. Through the use of many different channels, you can take part in a massive marketing campaign developed solely to create a better economic outlook for Acadiana owned businesses and our community. Now is the time to take control of your future by partnering with your fellow local business owners to make a difference.

Each campaign is designed to maximize our combined contributions so that each business involved gets the most our of their advertising dollars.
What is a Shop Local Acadiana Campaign?
A Shop Local Acadiana Campaign is an expertly planned marketing and advertising plan that aims to educate the community and promote our local business members to the public at a level that most small businesses could not afford to do on their own. Our entire campaign is planned out prior to the launch, so you have plenty of time to integrate your Shop Local Acadiana campaign into your normal marketing plan. Each campaign lasts nearly 6 months and includes combinations of the following:

Each campaign has a different mix of impactful, creative advertising and promotion that aims to educate the community on the importance of keeping their dollars local as well as individualized advertising to promote your own business directly. Our campaigns never get old, are always timely and include classic methods, creative plans & new technology proven to work together for maximum effect.
Does my local business qualify?
In order to become a member of Shop Local Acadiana you must first meet our criteria adapted from the American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA).
- Private, employee, community or cooperative ownership
- Owned in majority by area resident(s)
- Full decision-making for the business lies with owner(s)
If you qualify, you are invited to join our membership and will receive our “Certified Locally Owned Business” designation. Upon membership, you will receive our new member packet which includes window clings, posters, signage and more to let your customers know that you are a “Certified Locally Owned Business”. Space is limited for each campaign. Qualifying memberships are approved on a first-come first-serve basis until we reach capacity.
